JESSE EISENBERG: BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE TRATA TEMAS SOFISTICADOS E IMPORTANTES

Jesse Eisenberg, actor que encarna a Lex Luthor en Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice ha vuelto a dar su opinión sobre la película durante la presentación de su libro de historias cortas "Bream Gives Me Hiccups". Durante las entrevistas se mantuvo algo alejado del tema, pero este actor, que cuando se le adjudicó el papel se declaró un total ignorante de los superhéroes y más tarde en la San Diego Comic Con declaró sentirse inundado por las sensaciones que le produjo ver a la cantidad de fans que existen, en esta ocasión ya parece más convencido de la importancia para su carrera cinematográfica y su vida de su participación en la película dirigida por Zack Snyder.

"Since everyone here is obviously interested in writing in some capacity, I’ll tell you that the man who wrote the movie, Chris Terrio, is absolutely phenomenal," Eisenberg said. "He also wrote Argo. He’s such a brilliant guy, so well read. He’s interested in very sophisticated topics and discussions. So in Batman V Superman, even though it’s a superhero movie, people who don’t necessarily see films in that genre, like this crowd, will probably enjoy it. It discusses some very sophisticated and important themes." 

This notion -- that Warner Bros. wants to make superhero films that stand on their own as "cinema" outside of the current superhero craze -- is a constant refrain with anyone involved in Batman V Superman. The notion that Batman V Superman would be dealing in some pretty heady themes isn't anything new, either; while Man of Steel stuck pretty much with adrenaline-rush action and a dose of the fairly typical Messiah metaphor, we've seen a good deal of political commentary, military and religious imagery and shots evocative of 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina in the film's trailers.
