The Hollywood Reporter informa que la actriz Jessica Chastain está en conversaciones para interpretar a Lilandra, emperatriz Shi´ar, en la próxima película de los X-Men.
También ha revelado detalles del guión:
"The storyline was crudely adapted in 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand, which was critically maligned and rejected by fans. Kinberg and co. are looking to redeem that effort with their own take that sources say will hew closer to the classic story by Chris Claremont and John Byrne."
También a confirmado que Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy y Nicholas Hoult han firmado ya el contrato de la película y de los jovenes, Sophie Turner como Jean Grey, Alexandra Shipp como Storm, Tye Sheridan como Cyclops y Kodi Smit-McPhee como Nightcrawler.
Simon Kinberg está escribiendo el guión y puede que se encargue también de dirigir X-Men: Dark Phoenix.
