El presidente de Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, en una entrevista para Collider ha anunciado que la fecha de comienzo de rodaje de la película de Captain Marvel será febrero del 2018.
“Assuming everything stays on schedule, we start filming … Captain Marvel in February.”
También ha comentado, que el origen de esta superheroína será diferente al del cómic, debido a su similitud con el de Green Lantern.
"She’s obviously such an incredibly kick-ass character and Kelly Sue DeConnick did a great run with her story arc recently, Captain Marvel co-write Nicole Perlman said last August.
But here’s the thing: if you were just going to do a straight adaptation of the comics, her origin story is very similar to Green Lantern.
And obviously, that’s not what we want to do. There’s a lot of reinvention that needs to happen."
La primera aparición de la actriz Brie Larson como Captain Marvel será en Avengers: Infinity War en mayo del 2018.
Captain Marvel, dirigida por Anna Boden y Ryan Fleck, se estrena el 8 de marzo del 2019.
