Margot Robbie, productora y actriz de la película Birds Of Prey en una entrevista para Variety ha confirmado que Jared Leto no aparece como el Joker en la película, ni siquiera en un cameo.
"The movie, as its subtitle implies, starts after Harley’s breakup with the Joker. Robbie confirms that Leto’s incarnation of the character doesn’t appear, not even as a cameo. As far as that other “Joker” goes, Robbie thinks Joaquin Phoenix “did a phenomenal job.” But “Birds of Prey,” she says, isn’t at all like the Todd Phillips film: “I feel like the ‘Joker’ film was much more grounded. Ours is different. It’s heightened.”
Es probable que tras el éxito del Joker de Todd Phillips, Warner Bros. no quiera dos versiones del Joker en cine y también puede ser porque el actor Jared Leto intentó sabotear la película del Joker de Joaquin Phoenix.
Jared Leto tampoco aparecerá en la secuela del Suicide Squad, ya que James Gunn, director de la cinta, le acusa de pedófilo.
Birds Of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn se estrena el 7 de febrero de este año.
